Poetry Live presents: Outspoken Asylum: Mental Health Awareness Night!

Guest Poet: Michael Onslow Osborne

A few surprise guests will join Michael Onslow-Osborne in a showcase of some of their Mental Health themed poetry,…

Michael Onslow-Osborne writes and performs from the position that he has nothing to say and no words to say it.
He has been trolling around the Auckland poetry scene since the mid 1990s, occasionally organising gigs but otherwise performing at a surprising variety of events. His poetry has been published in Potroast, ABDotWW, Salt and Flint, and maybe other places, too.
He has masters in literature (focusing on poetics and literary theory, but don’t let that fool you), and has a haphazard CV having taught children, high school and university students, and now works as a mental health promoter.

A Mental Health themed open mic will precede our regular open mic.

Guest Musician: Coral Pitcher

20 year old Coral Pitcher is an Award winning professional singer/songwriter with a lifetime of live performance, and five years professional experience from Hamilton.Coral has been songwriting for many years and is influenced by many genres and has been said to be a mix between Adele, Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen.
Coral has recently released her first acoustic EP ‘Don’t forget to look at the Beautiful.”
