Manisha Anjali is a poet and performer of Indo-Fijian heritage. Her works are an exploration of hallucinatory dream states where women navigate through Oceanian and Indian histories, folklore, dispossession and decolonisation. Manisha’s pan-Pacific works have appeared in Mascara Literary Review, IKA Journal, Seizure, Blackmail Press, Alien She Zine and Flapperhouse. She was awarded a Hot Desk Fellowship by The Wheeler Centre in 2013. She is currently working on a creative arts Honours thesis based on feminist resistance practices of indentured women in Fiji. Manisha is also part of the Emerging Cultural Leaders programme at Footscray Community Arts Centre. Her debut poetry collection, Sugar Kane Woman is available now.
Anne Walsh is a poet and a story writer. Her work has been published widely in print and online. She’s been shortlisted for the Newcastle Poetry Prize twice and for the ACU Prize for literature. Her first book of poems, I Love Like a Drunk Does, was published by Ginninderra Press (2009, Australia). Her work has also been widely published in Australia and in the U.S., including a short story, The Rickman Digression, by the prestigious Glimmer Train. Her second book of poems, Intact, is available from Flying Island Press.
