Ria Masae has a BA the University of Auckland, as well as a BCA from MIT. She won the ‘2015 New Voices: Emerging Poets Competition’, and the ‘2016 Cooney Insurance Short Story Competition’. Ria was delighted to have her poetry translated into Spanish on the online Mexican literary journal, Circulo de Poesia. Recently, her poem, ‘Chipped China’ was one of twenty-five chosen for the 2017 ‘Best New Zealand Poems’ anthology. Ria is currently working on her first poetry collection.
Guest Musician: Harry Parsons
Harry Parsons was born in Dorset, England but grew up in Cambridge, New Zealand. He was surrounded by music from childhood. Dad played in orchestras and jazz bands and my sister became a folk musician. By age 10 I knew I wanted to make music also. From folk to alternative and he’s now delving into pop., working on original songs and collaborating with heaps of people. His latest single is called Real!
