Sam Clements
Former academic, top commerce honours scholar, public servant, musician, and in recent years a fledgling poet, Sam’s work has appeared in Landfall and Kingston Jamaica’s The Gleaner. In February he formally debuted as a poet at the Auckland Fringe Festival in the production Psychopomp, directed by multi award winning actress Willa (O’Neill) Cameron,
featuring the Vogue Italia portfolio photography of American Alana Clarke (Cleveland, Ohio), collaborating with poets Peter Le Baige, Rose Northey and Katerina Makri, NZ guitarist Nigel Gavin, and guitarist/singer/songwriter Sonia Wilson (Franco/US). He has collaborated and performed with Ben Ferdandez of the famed Ben Ferdandez Jazz Quintet, and read during a recital featuring world renowned violist Milisavljevic,  rincipal violist in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. He is a periodic informal assistant to poet and writer Anita Arlov at Inside Out Open Mic for Writers, and becomes an MC at Poetry Live in August. He
loves many things, including cats and pilsner beer.

Tough Tiger Fist

Ben Cleland and Matt Parker are two country bumpkins from the small rural town of Waiuku trying to make it in the big city. Together, this dynamic duo are Tough Tiger Fist, New Zealand’s fourth best folk comedy music duo (that we know of). A frequent performer in the Auckland comedy scene, Tough Tiger Fist recently performed a sold out show at this year’s Auckland Fringe Festival. Known for their catchy songs, high energy performances and dark sense of humor, Tough Tiger Fist has amassed a cult following of loyal fans (who clearly have real questionable taste in music). For a performance you won’t soon forget (for better or worse) look no further than Tough Tiger Fist.
